The 2014 Andalusian Artisan Cheese Festival in Teba (Feria Mercado del Queso Artesano de Andalucia) will be held this year from Saturday October 5 to Sunday October 6 in the village of Teba. This village is located in the mountains just an hour and a half from Marbella.

If you like cheese, then you won't want to miss this experience that has been attracting tourists to Teba for the last 12 years. Over 50 dairies form all over Andalusia as well as from other provinces gather to show their unbeatable quality homemade products.

More than 15,000 people are expected to attend the event, which will also include fun activities such as tastings, workshops, tours and more.

The festival is free of charge and will also include a prize giving ceremony.

Teba cheese event

we have been trying to attend this event for about 4 years and come up with the problem of transport from the Malaga area. The bus service is about 1 per day which leaves very early. This year with prior knowledge of the days & date we intend to hire a car and spend time there. We have been to the village 2 or three times and it is very interesting. A visit to the museum is a must to learn of Lord Douglas - then visit his memorial stone in the main street. The area around is beautiful too especially the Lakes created by Dams .
