Stagecoach summer theater camp

If your children like acting, dancing and singing, then consider enrolling them this summer 2012 in the Stagecoach summer theater camp. From the moment they arrive at the workshop, they´ll be caught up in the excitement of fun, hard work, and creativity whilst making new friends.

Students will experience the process of casting, rehearsing and performing. Working with a profesional team of directors - they will develop confidence and skills in several memorable and inspiring days.

At Stagecoach your children can build confidence, improve stage skills and pour them back into a live performance. The workshop includes classes in drama, dance and singing. Then everyone goes into rehearsals which lead to a final performance – to which you can invite your friends and family!

SCHEDULE

Classes are held from 10:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday.

Performance at 1:30pm on Fridays.

Monday 2nd until 27th July

Week 1: Monday July 2 - Friday July 6
Week 2: Monday July 9 - Friday July 13
Week 3: Monday July 16 - Friday July 20
Week 4: Monday July 23 - Friday July 27

Stagecoach summer theater camp is suitable for children aged 4 - 16 and is held at Laude San Pedro International School - Urb. Nueva Alcantara, Avda. La Coruña 2.

2 weeks: 307 euro
3 weeks: 426 euro
4 weeks: 501 euro

Optional lunch package: 40 euro per child per week (5 days) includes a 3-course meal at the school cafeteria.

What should they expect?

Expect to be stretched. The programme is demanding and you’ll have to learn lines, songs and dance routines quickly and well. This takes discipline and effort. The workshops aims to create confidence through taking on and mastering acting roles, singing with flair and dancing fluently and with style; to build team spirit through work in groups; and to increase students´ self-esteem. You’ll discover how versatile you can be and how far you´ ve come.


What will they get out of it?

Through taking on and mastering an acting role, singing with style or other new skills they will find a new and invaluable confidence. They will be an important part of the team. They will discover how versatile they can be and - through their performance - they will be able to show how far they have come!


What do they need?

They´ll need to be able to move freely and to be comfortable, so jogging bottoms, shorts or leggings with a T-shirt and trainers or jazz shoes would be fine.

For some workshops they may need to bring a packed lunch for breaktime and plenty to drink.
