SHOWCASE FOR LOCAL AUTHORS AND POETS

Venue: Hotel Tamisa Golf, Mijas

Date: Saturday March 12th 2011.

Time: 10.30 noon – 2.30pm (approx)

Entry: €2 per person.

A book showcase for local published authors, poets and artists, supported by local media, and including a competition for best fiction, best non-fiction and best poetry with a panel of professional judges and appearances by guest speakers. Spanish and other nationalities are welcome to take part in the show. This is an opportunity to promote local talent, local business and local media.

10. 30 hrs: Exhibitor Introduction.

11.45 hrs: Competition for best fiction, best non-fiction and best poetry.

12.45 hrs: 1st Guest speaker Vejay K Singh, local author and naturalist.

12.05hrs: 2nd Guest Speaker David Baird, local author.

12.25hrs: 3rd Guest Speaker, Natasha Smith, “In The Write Light Creative Writing Workshop”.

12.45hrs: 4th Guest Speaker, Masha Malka, local best-selling author and International speaker.

13.05 hrs: Winners announced and awarded with picture opportunity.

13.20 hrs: Networking, socialisng and book signing opportunity for visitors to talk to the exhibiting authors, poets, business, questions and answering period etc.

14.30 hrs: Close of event…approx time.

There will be a panel of four professional judges to select the winners for each category.
