La Semana Blanca is an elective week of vacation in the school calendar. It is chosen by the Autonomous Communities to compensate for the local ferias that occur during the summer break.

La Semana Blanca usually takes place in the second half of February. In Andalusia, it always coincides with February 28, Día de Andalucía.
