San Juan 2018 - any recommendations/info on where to go?

Hi, this is our first full summer in Marbella having arrived last September. 23rd June is my son's 14th Birthday. We are planning to go to the beach for San Juan in the evening. But which beach??

We live in Reserva de Los Monteros. I have heard that there is normally an event at Playa del Cable which we can walk to from our house.

Has anyone celebrated San Juan at Playa del Cable? If so, what was it like?

Any other recommendations for a family venue for the evening? I am guessing it would be best to go to a local beach on foot and avoid travelling by car/taxi if it's as big an event as I imagine?
