Plant a tree in Marbella's People’s Forest 26/11/11
Residents of Marbella are invited to participate in a very exciting ‘green’ project this Saturday November 26th. Environmental charity Arboretum are asking for the support of 100 members of the local community to help plant 1000 trees and plants at Finca El Trapiche, 29602 Marbella from 10am until 1pm.
Marbella charity, Arboretum is creating a
‘people’s forest’ made up entirely of trees planted by the local community. The project is making use of a deserted scrub land area and turning it into a beautiful nature reserve. This is a fantastic way of restoring the lost woodlands of the area, and
conserving the native species of trees and plants in Andalucía, while creating a lovely public green area for residents and visitors of Spain.
Alejandro Orioli, founder of Arboretum tells us more about the event,
“We need 100 people from the local community to get involved and help plant 1000 trees in just one morning. The event has been designed so people of all ages can join in. If you are unable to lend a hand this weekend, we would really appreciate your support on Twitter (@ ArboretumMrblla) or Facebook (Arboretum Marbella). All you need to do is re-tweet our posts about the campaign, or tweet messages about the project using key words #100personas1000arboles. Do you dare join the challenge?”For more information on the event this Saturday email info@shawmarketingservices.com
