Hi Michelle and welcome to Marbella!

Here is a thread that you will be interested in reading about Making Friends in Marbella.

I recommend you join some interest groups to meet other like minded people, such as Costa Women or join a gym, learn how to sew and create your own fashions, or take a dance class (scroll down to Dance/Music/Arts)...whatever it may be that interests you. You will surely find people who like doing the same things as you and strike up a conversation.

I just met an interesting 17 year old girl today at a new (for me) horseriding school in Ojen. I took a horseriding lesson for the first time and she was the teacher. After the lesson we had a chat about where she is from (Holland) and what she was doing here (studying graphic design at the Marbella Design School), so it just shows that getting out there and being active will lead you to some interesting people.
