Marbella Barber

I needed a cut and a shave so I decided to check out The Barber Club Marbella, which opened earlier this year in Neva Andalucia. Parking is easy and you can instantly recognise the place from the classic red and white barber pole hanging in front.

The place definitely looks like a hipster haven. The wood deck in front included a few other Dads juggling iPads between kids. I knew I'd come to a "Dad Friendly" place.

Inside I found a full bar and espresso lounge adjacent to the classic barber chairs you'd expect to find in a barber shop. The bar stools were full - mostly other Dads from Scandinavia, the UK and Spain.

I was greeted by Fizz McMullen, a "Master Barber" who arrived in Marbella from the UK just over a year ago. Like a lot of others here, she was drawn to the Costa del Sol for the promise of a lifestyle in the sun.

I'm no expert but Fizz and the team clearly know how to take care of their clients. Everyone had branded Barber Club Marbella shirts and the lighting and interior design was akin to anything you would find in Amsterdam or London.

With the pulsing sounds of pop, the reclined leather chairs and the steaming hot towels, it's hard not to enjoy a visit. Friendly service, a nice ambiance and something I haven't found anywhere else on the Costa del Sol. For €40 you can enjoy a "design" shave and cut. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for the classic "barber" experience in Marbella.
