The II Marbella International Art Festival will be held at La Alameda park and Avenida del Mar (where the Dali sculptures are displayed.) from June 17 through June 20.

There will be four days of visual & performing arts showcasing over 100 artists, including painting, photography and sculpture. A fun day for the whole family that includes live music, dance and theater. For more information go to www.festivaldeartemarbella.com.

Children will also have plenty of fun with art workshops being offered throughout the day.

I am an artist, is there any free place at the fair to still participate?

Dear Caroline: Iam an artist who lives in Monda. I have studied all my art career in Madrid, I have been exhibiting my works for the past 12 years saturdays in Puerto Banus market. The reason why I did not apply before is because I had an accident unable to paint for 5 months.I don,t mind if I don,t appear on the leaflets. 6:00pm - Experimental Jazz group Odeon Dreams

10:00pm - Performance by Áshay - ye

Several concerts will be taking place on Avenida del Mar:

6:00pm - Black Box Theater presents a theatrical street performance

7:30pm - Performance by composer David Patrick

8:30pm - Performance by tenor Stephan Lloyd, mezzo soprano Julie-Ann Hunter and DJ Rob.

9:30pm - Contemporary flamenco concert by Carolina Becarra & Punta Negra.

2:00pm - Interpretation of bossa nova Zavira. Female singer with a passionate voice performing bossa nova and Latino songs.

5:30pm - 6:30pm - Children´s workshop (philosophy)

6:00pm - Performance by soul singer Vicky Jaye

6:30pm - Performance by Salome, a 17 year old singer from Georgia.

7:00pm - 10:00pm - Children´s workshop (paper maché)

7:00pm - Classical music interpretation by the Marbella Conservatory (flutes & guitars)

8:00pm - Jayne Mellville Dance academy performance

9:30pm - DJ Donuts - Chef and DJ Ramon. Best avant garde sounds from experimental to chill out.

10:45 - Performance by Áshai-ye - a Diva who will electrify you with her gutsy performance. NOT TO BE MISSED!

6:00pm - Performance by soul singer Vicky Jaye

7:00pm - 10:00pm - Children´s workshop (sounds)

7:00pm - Flamenco performance by Ellen Zacks accompanied by guitar.

8:30pm - The Johan Whalstrom Band performance

9:30pm - Jazz band TMG playing fusion and chill out music.

SUNDAY June 19

1:00pm - Performance by Danza Alma - piano flamenco, bulerías, sevillanas with fans, and rumbas.

1:30pm - Room Service - Performance by students of the Piano House Academy (recent finalists in Marbella contest)

2:00pm - Arran Harding, a tenor from the Tres Divos performs

3:00pm - Performance by Spanish guitarist Richard Waterborn

3:30pm - Performance by two opera singers - Marriane Sydow & Jenny Gucci

4:30pm - Performance by singer Ia Orjonkidze, a talented 15 year old who won great recognition in her home of Georgia.

5:00pm - 8:00pm - Children´s workshop (sounds)

6:30pm - Black Box Theater performs "Factor Tiempo"

7:00pm - Performance by Cuadrado Teatro'¡Ay Carmela!, which tells the story of Carmela and Paulino, two artists that travel for two years through war torn Spain.

Marbella Art Festival event schedule

The II Marbella International Art Festival is taking place from June 17 to 20 at the Alameda Park and Avenida del Mar (above main parking lot) in Marbella.

More than a 100 professional artists from 22 nations will present their work in painting, sculpture and photography at the event.

There will also be a workshop zone for children aged 7 to 12, where they can understand and experiment with different art mediums to create their own works of art.
