Guadalmina termal baths in Marbella, also know as "Las Bovedas" are situated on San Pedro de Alcantara date back to the third century. Some people believe that these solid stone structures were deposits for the water carried by the nearby aqueducts.
Termas romanas de Las Bóvedas were built around three principal rooms - Caldarium, Tepidarium and Frigidarium - around an octagonal courtyard covered by the vault with skylights. Inside there are four decorative arches, which probably housed sculptures. It was destroyed by an earthquake in 365 AD.
The building was discovered in 1961 and has now been declared an Artistic-Historic Monument. Some say it was the first spa in the Costa del Sol!
These termal baths are actually closed to the public but you can call +34 952 785 252 if want to learn more about them.
