Great British Weekend 2010 in Fuengirola

The Great British Weekend 2010 in Fuengirola will be held on September 24 and 25 on the first floor of the Parque Miramar Shopping Centre just off the A-7 highway.

This festival brings together the cultures of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales with plenty of entertainment, food, prizes and live performances...all for free! Afternoon tea, cider bar, traditional British fare and even children´s activities will all be available throughout the afternoon and evening for the whole family to enjoy.

The Celtic group The Sessionistas will be performing live along with Welsh singer Laura Elen, the T.A.P.A.S choir and the fabulous Stagecoach Theatre School who will be performing some Britpop classics.

Children´s activities include free t-shirt painting and face painting sessions! So while you're enjoying a cider and a bit of British music, your children will be enjoying their own British festivities.

This year's event is sponsored by Irish airline Ryan Air who are giving away 10 pairs of tickets for flights to a host of European destinations, including: London Stanstead, Liverpool, Bristol, Milán, Santiago de Compostela, Valencia, Barcelona, Paris and Zaragoza. So you´ll definitely have to try your luck in a free prize draw.

On Saturday from 4:00pm the Cudeca Foundation and the Fuengirola District Society Club will be manning a stand where they will be offering free blood pressure tests.
