Arguably the ‘all year round’ busiest shop in San Pedro, Granier is one of the 350 strong franchised bakeries that are not only in Spain, but are now reaching out to Portugal, Gran Canarias, Italy, England, and even to Florida in the USA.
Each one is individually owned and managed under the umbrella company that supply all the preformed dough in suspended fermentation for in house baking. With the variation of size, grain, and shape there are nearly 70 alternative breads baked freshly every day, as well as dozens of pastries, pizzas, cakes, Bocadillos with lots of alternative fillings, and Gateaus.
Manageress Viviana tells me of their new bakery and cafe in Marbella that will open this month, located in Nuestra Senora de Gracia. The product quality that we have experienced over the 4 years that they have been open has been consistently excellent, and the staff always knowledgeable and friendly. The café seats some 30 inside and a further 24 in the walkway, just the place to sit and watch the world go by, with no car fumes to spoil the experience. It’s just a pity I have to watch my waist line!
