Beach wifi by: Marbella Family
I haven't tried wifi while on the beach, but you will find that a lot of cafes around town have free wifi, so it's worth to pop into one for a quick coffee and check your mail. Many people bring in their computers during lunchtime and get a couple hours of work done, which is perfectly acceptable as long as you order something relative to your stay.
You can also try mercuryinternet.com. We have never tried this service, but it appears that you can pay for just an hour (or day, or 7 days...) of internet service at a time. Not sure where their hotspots are, but you may want to ask if they have wifi beach coverage.

Beach wifi / general mobile access? by: Anonymous
Hi,
We're off to Marbella for a month in June and, as we both have iPhones, I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there are "wifi zones" which you can pay to access?
The sort I am thinking of is when you check for wifi and a signal comes up when on the beach etc but you need to be a subscriber? Obviously anything is better than data roaming!!
I often use the free wifi at the cafe Aguadulce in Puerto Banus' Cristamar center, the Terra Sana in Marina Banus or the English cafe on the third floor of the Corte Ingles (next to Gourmet shop).

Free wi fi in Marbella by: Marbella Family
Two more places where you may find free wi fi connection in Marbella:
I just noticed yesterday that the Manolo Santanas Racquets Club has wi-fi. This club is located on the road to Istan from Puerto Banus near Aloha College and La Colonia El Angel.

Free wifi Marbella by: Marbella Family
Here is a list of places offering free wifi in Marbella, put together by a Marbella twitterer(@HitByLife):
Marbella North:
* La Cañada Shopping Centre - many places with wi-fi. There's a Terra Sana in the old building, and you have Lizarran in the new building on the top floor. And then there's the place selling juice and smoothies on the floor where the car park is (MFF adds: This juice place has since closed).
Marbella centre:
* Chill Out Café (http://www.chillout-marbella.com/), close to Goyo and the Bingo/Property Registry no. 3 building * Garum on the paseo marítimo; haven't tried it, but know they have wi-fi * Nono's: just opposite La Venencia and Gorki, huge new place comprising of 3 different concepts: a lounge, a cafe and a taberna. I had a coffee there the other day and they were just installing wi-fi. * Café de Ronda (open to "clients"), fast line. Located on the corner of the Marbella House, just opposite the Town Hall's planeamiento (town planning) - no, not the orange square!)
Golden Mile:
* El Corte Ingles (open) - the one in the roundabout (el Pirulí) just opposite Palacios de Congreso * Terra Sana - they probably have a 3 mb line (MFF adds: Terra Sana on the Golden Mile has since closed)
Marbella West / Puerto Banús:
* El Corte Ingles - haven't tried it, but in the cafeteria on the 3rd floor there's a banner saying they have wi-fi * Marina Banus Shopping Center - free wi-fi in the entire building. Unstable; sometimes it works, other times not.
Nueva Andalucía:
* Gio's - Giovanni's place not far from Terra Sana. He has a 10 mb line. Not open, password in the bar. * Starz Café, Centro Plaza. Not open, password in the bar. * Magna Café (open) * Los Naranjos Golf Club (open, "Restaurante")
San Pedro de Alcantara:
* The Town Hall offers wi-fi around their bulding on the church square, so some of the cafes around the square probably has their wi-fi. * Ordoñez Cafetería, just below the church square * Passion Cafe
