FREE Semana Blanca Science Camp for 150 Kids

The Trapiche de Guadaiza Cultural Center of San Pedro Alcántara will host a free Semana Blanca Science Camp for 150 schoolchildren, aged between 6 and 12 years. February 26 to March 2, 2018 9:00 - 14:00
The camp, which will be run by the company Planet Explores Fun Science, will have environmental and scientific content, according to the age of the children, will be located in the western area of Trapiche of Guadaiza. Each day, from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a variety of topics will be discussed and you will learn professions such as chemistry, physics, astronaut or doctor and topics such as why boats float, why the sky is blue or why an airplane flies.
The activities will start from 9 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. with an assembly where the activity to be carried out during the day will be decided in a group. It will be followed from 9.30 am to 10.30 am the first workshop of experiments and, from 10.30 am to 11.00 am, a breakfast with the food that each child carries and a directed game. From 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. there will be a workshop in the urban garden and, from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., a final workshop of experiments. The camp will be divided into groups of 25 children, which will have two monitors, plus the coordinator and support.
The registration period for this educational experience will continue until February 20, 2018. Applications must be submitted at the Rosa Verde Cultural Center, from 9 a.m. to 9 a.m., , accompanied by a photocopy of the parents' DNI. As noted, the places will be awarded in order of arrival, without applying any selection criteria.
