El Campanario Apartments, San Pedro

by Michelle

Hi,

We are very interested in renting an apartment in El Campanario but want to know if there are restaurants within reasonably short walking distance as our six year old legs 'get bored' otherwise!
Thanks for your help.

Best beaches in Estepona
by: Marbella Family

The beaches in the San Pedro area are not that great. Lots of rocks and dirty sand. We also enjoy the beaches near Cabopino and they are much better, however it will take you about 25 - 30 minutes to get there, maybe even more as there is a lot of road works. I think you are better off heading towards Estepona where there are also lovely beaches. The closest one that we like is Heaven Beach where there is also a nice beach restaurant and it should only take you 5 minutes to get there. If you drive further into Estepona city about 10 minutes drive then you will find plenty of nice beaches. In the city our favorite beach restaurant is Bikini Beach. If you want to read up more about the beaches in Estepona, see our page on Beaches where you will find information on beaches in Estepona center, Estepona east and Estepona west.

El Campanario and Atalaya/Diana Park
by: Nicky

Hi, I have lived in this area for 10 years.

There is the country club at El Campanario.

Also, a short walk (5 mins) is the Diana Centre which has everything - supermarket, bars, newsagents, bakers, butchers, doctors, chemist, Spanish restaurants, indian, chinese etc. It really has everything that you would need on your holidays.

Also, you can walk along the path to Benavista which has more bars and restaurants or cross over the footpath and head down to the beach. Also there is the bus stop at the Diana Centre and the handy footpath which means you can get a bus easily in both directions.

Hope this is helpful

Nicky

Apartment rental San Pedro
by: Marbella Family

El Campanario is a beautiful complex, however although it´s near San Pedro it is technically Estepona. And remember that El Campanario is on the golf/mountain side of the highway, so if you are looking to walk to the beach, then you´ll have to look for something else.

El Campanario has a nice restaurant on the premises, so this is close. However it can be pricey, so be prepared. I love it though and it´s totally zen with furniture and decor that is reminiscent of Bali or India.

There are other restaurants in the area, but it´s a bit of a walk. I´d say it would take about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest cafe. The walk isn´t that beautiful, not like walking on the beach or on a sidewalk with lots of buildings around. It´s quite rural.

There is a strip mall with a few restaurants on the highway N340 which is where you turn off to get to El Campanario. If you go to google maps and search El Campanario Estepona you will see exactly how far it is to the shops/restaurants.
