EASTER EVENTS AND CAMPS IN MARBELLA 2014

Easter in Marbella is the kickoff to the warm weather season when tourists start to flock to the beach and beach clubs and restaurants (chiringuitos) shake the dust of the beach chairs and open their doors to the public after a short winter break. Prices start to rise and the crowds get thicker as tourism jump starts for a new season.

We have gathered a few ideas on how to entertain the kids and where to go during Semana Santa (Holy Week) in Marbella and the Costa del Sol.

The Passion of Christ in Istan
Maudy Thursday, and Good Friday at 17:00 
Holy Saturday at 21:00
Location: Polysport Municipal Track 
El Paso or The Passion is a deep-rooted tradition in Istán. It`s origins dates back to the XVII century, specifically to the year 1.666, in which the representations began in the village square. It was cancelled during the years prior to the civil war, although never disappeared from the memories of the locals who, in 1980, revived it.
