Can anybody help me? I need to get my daughters first vaccinations done very soon. what is the system here?
Do I have to go to a Doctors surgery or some kind of medical centre? Will I have to pay or is it free like in England? Any information would be greatly appreciated. x
If you are in the 'system' then, yes, you can get organised at your centro salud. Otherwise, they have to be done privately at 2 months, 4 months and 6 months.
They are not covered under private insurance and work out between 150 and 200 euros per time.
Depending where you live but Patricia in the Medical Centre in San Pedro is excellant - 952780540.

Vaccinations for babies by: Michelle
Visit your local centro salud to register the baby and tell them your baby needs the vaccinations they will the advise you on the process.
We have just done this and it was very simple but I guess it depends on if you have the necessary paperwork and have already registered the baby into the social security system.
They are free, you can visit a private hospital if you want the extra recommended ones that aren't compulsory and are chargeable. X
