I have recently discovered www.catergate.com a great site based on the Costa del Sol, you post what they call a project for any party, wedding or event and get quotes from different caterers. It seems to be for anything related to parties i.e venues, entertainment etc. Great if you have a budget or are trying to organise something extra special.

Petite-Gourmet catered for a birthday celebration on our terrace for over 50 people.
The service was excellent.

The presentation and quality of food were first class,the quantity was more than adequate.

Petite-Gourmet provided tables,crockery,cutlery,glasses etc.,and all the necessary table decorations.

The staff helped to create a special party atmosphere.

Petite-Gourmet carried out all aspects including setting up,serving drinks,clearance,cleaning etc..
We would highly recommend Petite-Gourmet for a similar function.

Run by a husband and wife partnership that have catered parties, cooked for groups and families along the coast, very successfully, for many years. Realistic prices, excellent service and great food.

Hi MFF, Your readers might be interested in a catering company Ive used for my wedding...cant praise them enough! Delifreshgo Sandwich delivery & Catering Costa del Sol. They also cater for smaller parties-occasions at your home. I know its quite hard to know which companies are the best down on the coast...so thought I would share my good experience with them.

Best by far is the Arden Pig Company. good price ,top service and they cook fresh on site.Been to a few events and they are by far the most popular here in Southern Spain. What ever you need they can do.. 100% would say call these guys.

Just to update you on what I learned about catering companies: I did try Love to Eat. They never got back to me with the quote even though I rang them , saw them etc...not a good sign ! Mezzanotte were friendly but not the style of food we wanted and the other major one Fiestasol were very expensive.

There are a lot of catering companies here. If you search "catering" on our site, you´ll get a few. Here´s what I found:

Fiestasol

Mezzanote (also really nice and relatively cheap)

Sensations (if you like sushi or Japanese)

Avenue Cafe (Authentic Irish food)

I also went to a party last summer that was catered by Lepanto. They served tons of hors d'oeuvres. At first I could see where it was going and thought I'd have to go home after the party to have a real meal, but it was really nicely presented with a clear starter, main and dessert. In the end I went home stuffed. As long as you get enough to compete with a meal.
