The approach to Bombay Grill

Whilst scanning through Trip Advisor for local restaurants that I was unfamiliar with, I came across Bombay Grill that had over 30 reviews, virtually all of which rated it as excellent.

They were so consistently good, that either this is a ‘must try’ restaurant or, if one were a sceptic, they could be ‘less that truthful.

We met Matra D’ Fahim who left us with the very comprehensive menu of no less than 130 items, to peruse, and make our choices from, and we watch a sizzling, very tempting looking dish on its way to be served at an other table, which turned out to be Chicken Shashlik.

This plus a Lamb dish of Mirchi Wala and a vegetable Korma, accompanied by Rice and a sweet Pashwari Nan Bread became our mains. We precede these with some mini Onion Bhaji’s with accompaniments that although very small in size were delicious.

I have never found a wine that can ‘compliment’ Indian cuisine, but I do find that a good beer does.

Our mains arrive, and as soon as we taste the many elements, it became evident that the T.A. reviews were totally justified. Indeed the whole experience was faultless, from the presentation, to the serving temperatures, the degree of spiciness that we had requested, and especially the taste.

We finish the meal with a dessert of Mango Karan which caused a a division of opinion between my wife who loved it, and me, that has never found an Indian dessert that I like!

Bottom line - we are hooked!
