Black Rice and Truffles, Scallops, and Prawns
After my last visit, some 3 months ago I was keen to find out how David & Vanessa had faired running a fine dining restaurant for 6 months. In this sector of the restaurant business, where reputation is all, and you are judged by the quality of the last meal
that each and every one of your diner’s ate, by the service they receive, and that indefinable ‘feel-good factor’ that a fine dining experience should give you.
This was our guests first experience of Benisty’s, and at the end of the meal their verdict
was that this was the finest meal they had experienced in their 10 years of dining in Spain.
I must add our own delight of the whole meal, starting with 2 different Foie Gras & scallops dishes, one with a delicious mango sauce, an unusual peas soup, and their take on Coquilles St. Jacque. To follow, 2 of us opted for Venison, the others had Steak Tartar,
and a Black Rice with Truffles, scallops, Prawns, cauliflower and broccoli dish , all beautifully presented (see photo’s) I was the only one that left anything on the plate, and that was because the portion of the Venison was more than I could cope with.
Apart from a tiny niggle over as to whether a particular wine was Dry or Semi Sweet, the service was much improved from out first visit. So well done you two. Keep it up.
