Environmental charity Arboretum Marbella are holding a very special Winter Fair on Sunday 20th December with stalls, special activities and opportunities to win some great prizes. There will be stalls where you can buy last minute Christmas gifts and organic produce, a kids’ zone from Marbella nursery Coleta and food and drink to buy. The event will take place in the stunning surroundings of Arboretum’s Edible Gardens for an afternoon surrounded by nature and festive fun.

There will be a competition for the best Recycled Christmas Tree made and brought to the event. Kids and parents are being encouraged to get creative and build a tree out of what they can find; from plastic bottles, loo roll tubes to plastic bags and pine cones, and enter them into the competition on the day. The best tree voted for by the attendees will be awarded with a very special prize. There will be a recycled Christmas tree making workshop during the event too for kids.

This Winter Fair will be raising funds for charity Arboretum with tombola, a raffle to win a Christmas hamper and a tea and cake to buy. Plus there is the opportunity to find out more about the charity with a tour. Event attendees are being asked to bring a book to donate and the donated books will be on sale to raise more funds for this fantastic environmental charity.

Arboretum’s Winter Fair will be a magical, natural and fun start to the Christmas season, showcasing local producers, environmentally friendly products and artisans.

Event Programme:

12.00 – Winter Fair Begins – browse the stalls, enjoy tea and cake, organic beer or artisan pizza, take part in the Tombola, explore the beautiful surroundings and let the kids enjoy the arts and crafts activities from the nursery Coleta.

13.00 – Recycled Christmas Tree making Workshop with Coleta Nursery Marbella – Kids’ activity to create a special tree made from recycled and sustainable materials which you can take home

13.30 – Tour of Arboretum with the Director of the charity Alejandro César Orioli and explanation of the charity’s objectives and their plans

15.00 – Popcorn making workshop and tasting – fun activity for the kids to collect cobs of corn from the allotment, removing the kernels, popping them and enjoying eating the results!

16.00 – Drawing the raffle for the Christmas Hamper

17.00 – Ends
