In your search for schools on the Costa del Sol, consider Calpe School first. Located in San Pedro de Alcántara, Calpe is an international school, offering the British National Curriculum, for boys and girls from ages 2 ½ to 11 with an excellent reputation. * Indoor activities for children Last week one of our readers asked: “As it is expected to rain much of this week are there any activities for a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old? Such as an indoor play centre?” Not that it will rain next week, but it certainly did last week. However, it´s still good to know what there is to do in Marbella when the weather is either too hot or too wet. Feel free to comment on this page if you have something to say. * Mac computer help One of our readers had some trouble with their computer and asked, “I am in marbella on holiday for a week and need some help with my Mac computer. Can you recommend someone who can help me in the area?” We have a great recommendation, however if you have your own, please chime in! * Trip to Madrid from Marbella If you are staying in Marbella for a while and would like to make a weekend getaway to Madrid, or are planning on heading that way after your stay here, then you may want to take a look at our own family experience for some great tips and advice on how to get there from Marbella and what to see and do with the kids while visiting Spain´s capital city. * Books, maps and more One of the last things some of us think about is a guide book before we head out on holiday. If you´re looking for a great guide book on Andalusia, check out our recommendations. We also can suggest interesting cookbooks on Andalusian cuisine, Spanish phrasebooks, music and more. * Marbella villa for rent One of our readers is offering a beautiful villa for rent in the Marbella area. This is a fairly large home that can accommodate a very large family, which is a bit hard to find outside of the standard 3-4 bedroom homes. If it´s too big, you may want to consider splitting it with another family and friends. * Saturday in Marbella Old Town This Saturday May 7th from 11:00am to 7:00pm, visit Old Town Marbella for the event "Siente Marbella!" - a festival of art, food and music that brings life to the city center on the first Saturday of the month.
