Click here to find movie times and locations... * The Multisports Club The season of summer camps has kicked of this week and The Multisports Club in Aloha Gardens has been busy entertaining boys and girls aged 3 to 12 years old with plenty of sports, games and all around fun. This flexible camp is open Monday to Friday 10.00 until 14.00 (additional hour 14:00 - 15:00 10 euro extra with a packed lunch included). If you just need a few free hours on the weekend, drop the kids off from 10:00am for only 5 euro per hour. Click here to read more… TIP: New! Every Thursday at 6.30pm - Junior football * La Parisienne Café & Bakery My holiday guests have been enjoying our trips to La Parisienne for breakfast with fresh baked croissants. If you can't make it for breakfast, then pop in for lunch for a steak tartare, quiche lorraine or one of their fresh salads. I got exactly what I wanted and the lemon meringue filling was TO DIE FOR!! You HAVE to check out some of the designs Cake Couture has come up with in the past. There is nothing that this cake designer cannot do. Click here to read more… TIP: Cake Couture is one of the most popular cake designers in Marbella and are now fully booked until July 18th. Only a few spots remaining until mid August, then booked again from August 15 to September 15th. To avoid any disappointment it is always preferable to book your cakes at least 3 weeks in advance in summer. * Gloria Gaynor in concert Don't miss the double headline concert “The LADIES SING TONIGHT” with Gloria Gayner and Kathy Sledge on Saturday July 7th. This is a unique opportunity to see icons of the disco soul genre live in concert in a very intimate setting at the Puente Romano tennis club. They are famous for their great voices and big performances and will be singing classics from the 70’s & 80’s such as the floor fillers "I Will Survive", "Never Can Say Goodbye", “I Am What I Am”, "We Are Family" , “He’s the Greatest Dancer” and “Lost in Music”. Click here to read more… TIP: If you miss this concert, try making it to Bryan Ferry on Friday July 20th. * Saturday morning dog walks Saturday morning dog walks with the Triple A animal shelter still continue throughout the summer, but with a slightly earlier start time at 8:30am to take advantage of cooler morning hours. The dogs are all walked by 11am and it’s a fantastic opportunity to discover more of the nature around Marbella as well as get a bit of exercise for you and for your pooch. Double woof! Every Saturday, the Puerto Banus street market fills up with locals and tourists alike from 10am to 2pm looking for bargains, souvenirs and a bit of fun. Spanish street markets are an Aladdin’s cave of souvenirs, fresh local fruit and vegetables, spices, clothes, shoes, local handicrafts, jewelry and much more. Click here to read more... It’s pickpocketing season. * San Pedro arts and crafts market The San Pedro arts and crafts market isn’t as big as the Puerto Banus or San Pedro street markets, but still a nice place to pick up souvenirs and browse through the work of local tradesmen/tradeswomen. Then join the next Costa Women group business network meeting for a lively and proactive session of networking on Tuesday July 10th. From the realms of jazz, his career gradually expanded into all sorts of other genres: soul, R & B, pop, and of course, swing. The concert takes place at the Auditorio de Marbella. La Cantera. This is a fantastic idea for kids who enjoy learning computer skills and want to make movies. A cocktail party "film festival" will be held on the last day. Also, Justin is way cool too and great with kids. * Virgen del Carmen festivities Las Chapas just started the Virgin del Carmen festivities yesterday (July 5) with opening ceremonies at the Asociación Mariana Virgen del Carmen de Las Chapas. If you are in the area, catch a mass on Wed July 11 at 7:30pm. Friday July 13 at 7pm - Mass at Puerto de Cabopino with a procession, immerse the Virgen del Carmen and water blessing to follow. Saturday July 14 at 8:00am - Rosario de la Aurora celebration. Churros with chocolate. July 14 at 8:00pm - Mass and Virgen del Carmen procession. I've tried everywhere to get information about this, but i have found nothing. Is there still nights like this for younger children? Click here to read more… * Marbella open air concerts Conciertos en la Muralla (Concerts in the wall) organized by Marbella Town Hall are taking place from 4 to 7 July in the Plaza de la Iglesia in Old Town Marbella. The next concert is tonight, July 6, at 21:15 with the music band "Fundación Santa María de la Victoria y Escolanía San Ciriaco y Santa Paula", organized in collaboration with Asociación Órgano del Sol Mayor. On Saturday, July 7, at 22:30 see the choirs "Coral Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación de Marbella" and "Nuevo Amanecer de Churriana". All the kids loved it and are definitely continuing. Boys and girls aged 9+ are welcome to join us on Tuesday mornings. Click here to read more… * Summer sales The summer sale season has started in Marbella, so you will find plenty of bargains all throughout the summer until the end of August. Prices are slashed 20% - 30% and gradually increase as the season continues, so don’t worry if you miss the first wave. Keep in mind that the biggest shopping centers in Marbella, La Cañada and El Corte Inglés are now open on Sundays all summer long until September 9th.
