The province of Malaga is launching a new system for foreign tourists who need to report crimes to the Spanish police. The National Police is offering the Servicio de Atención al Turista Extranjero (SATE - Foreign Tourist Attention Service) to visitors of the city who need to report crimes as well as receive psychological attention when necessary. The service also helps foreigners cancel their credit cards.
Although the service is intended to aid foreigners who don´t speak Spanish it is also open to Spanish visitors.
The SATE headquarters are located in Málaga, however each National Police Station on the Costa del Sol has specialized staff available to help.
If you need to report a crime call 902 102 112 or visit the website www.policia.es. Reports can be made in several languages. You may also anonymously report any crime by sending an email to malagacostadelsol@policia.es.
